Samaritan Defense Training Center, a Subsidiary of Samaritan Protective Services, is a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) approved training school. Our instruction includes entry level, in-service, firearms, and advanced training. Meet the Training Director
Mike Pheobus currently serves as the Training Director at Samaritan Defense Training Center. With a distinguished career in the private sector and military service, Mr. Pheobus brings a wealth of expertise to his role. As a seasoned U.S. Army Special Operations Combat Veteran, he has led numerous protective operations, both in the private sector and in support of U.S. Federal agencies, international diplomats, and government officials. His extensive knowledge spans various domains, including armored vehicle operations, protective intelligence, threat assessments, and domestic and global protection operations.
Mr. Pheobus holds a degree in Counterintelligence from the American Military University, underlining his strong educational foundation in the field. He is registered with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services as an Armed Personal Protection Specialist (PPS) and Armed Security Officer, ensuring he possesses the necessary qualifications to provide security services. Furthermore, as a DCJS certified firearms and general instructor, he is equipped to provide comprehensive training in these critical areas.
His certification as a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Specialist highlights his expertise in managing combat-related injuries.
In his current capacity as the Training Director for Samaritan Defense Training Center, Mr. Pheobus continues to lead and shape the training and development of security professionals, passing on his extensive knowledge and operational leadership experience to the next generation of security experts.
